Product information

Dana Lim Danaseal Construction 515 - a universal, highly elastic, alkoxide-curing neutral silicone sealant with a long working life. Hardens by reacting with air moisture and forms an elastic bond with +/- 25% movement.

Can be used on all types of structures, both indoors and outdoors, and on almost all surfaces without the use of a primer. Especially suitable for sliding joints between concrete elements, inlets, doors, windows, etc.

Sealant has excellent adhesion to glass, aluminum, ABS, stainless steel, PVC, treated wood, concrete and more.

It is characterized by excellent resistance to climate aging and temperature fluctuations.

Complies with ISO 11600 (F/G-25LM) requirements.

Instructions for use:
• Seam Dimensions: seams where Danaseal Construction 515 is used must be sized to allow less than +/- 25% sealant movement. Connector must be min. 6 mm and max. 30 mm wide. Depth of the seam is usually half the width, but not less than 5 mm and max. 15 mm. Use the correct size of joint support material that is placed according to the desired depth of the joint.
• Preparation: all surfaces must be clean, dry, free of grease, dust and loose particles. Can be used without primer on surfaces such as glass, most metals, most painted surfaces and types of plastic, wood, concrete and more. In practice, different materials may vary, so it is always recommended to carry out sufficient adhesion tests before starting, especially when using larger volumes. We recommend use of masking tape, which should be removed immediately after applying the sealant.
• Application conditions: can be used at temperatures from +5 °C to +40 °C, and at a relative humidity of at least 30%.
• Application: tip of the sealant is cut off with a sharp knife, then the tip is cut with a bevel cut that is slightly smaller than the width of the joint. Sealant is applied with a manual or pneumatic sprayer. Pressed into place and finished with a joint nail soaked in a soapy solution immediately after application.
• Curing: shell formation approx. 15-30 minutes at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. Curing time 1 - 2 mm/day at 23 °C and 50% relative humidity. Curing time increases at lower temperatures and lower humidity.
• Cleaning: tools can be cleaned and sealant removed with acetone. Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically or with silicone remover 911. Hands should be washed with soap and water.
